WHAT IS SOZO?
Sozo is a Greek word meaning wholeness:
- wholeness in spirit
- wholeness in soul (mind, will, and emotions)
- wholeness in body
Sozo is an inner healing and deliverance ministry that seeks to get to root issues that inhibit intimacy.
- getting rid of lies believed about self and others
- replacing these lies with truth and revelation from God, leading the person to freedom
Jesus said that He is “the way, the truth and the life” John. 14:6. And He said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” John. 8:32
Connection with God and freedom are the goals.
HOW DOES SOZO WORK?
Sozo is a gentle & effective ministry led by the Holy Spirit to bring us into greater truth and into greater intimacy with the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. The Spirit brings clarity through the cloud of deception that the enemy has placed around us. We ask Father God to reveal any spiritual doors that are open in key areas.
We recognize the amazing impact that dysfunction within our family of origin has on our ability to relate well with the God-head (Father, Son, and Spirit). Praying together removes these barriers to intimacy with God that were formed early in life so that we are able to experience the deep, close relationship God desires us to have with Him.
FORGIVENESS - THE KEY TO FREEDOM
Most people do not understand what forgiveness is, and they struggle to forgive those who have deeply hurt them. However, FORGIVENESS IS VITAL TO DELIVERANCE AND FREEDOM.
Even if we are ready to forgive and be free, many people are unaware of the unforgiveness still in their hearts. The enemy likes keeping us in the dark. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the lie of the enemy and the truth of the situation to our hearts… and “the truth shall make you free.”
FRUIT OF FREEDOM
- Free (finally) from the blind bondage of sin
- Free to know and live in your true identity- how God sees you
- Free to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit
- Free to walk out your divine destiny in power and in joy
Sozo has been a ministry at GCC for many years and is led by Nancy Wilson. If you are interested in being trained to administer Sozo, watch the calendar for upcoming trainings. If you have questions, feel free to contact Nancy.
