from the December Leadership Collective email
With the launch of i2i this past month (November) we’ve declared it’s time to stir up innovation and creativity. That’s the sexy part. The nitty gritty is more about asking God for a new lens and a new boldness to try and fail. Sometimes the breakthrough comes in how we go after stuff—dreaming bigger and in new ways. Sometimes the breakthrough comes as we boldly come against limitations we carry around with us—from the past, from others, or from our own small thinking. [PSA: keep going after your inner healing, wholeness, counseling, Sozo, etc.]
For me and my small team of Cancer Busters we’re starting to go after establishing GCC as a house of healing in risky, creative ways. Our private session with someone looks like: meeting with them to speak truth, explain how good God is, that this cancer didn’t come from Him, and they are worthy of healing. In fact, they carry authority over their own healing. We’ll arm them with tools on how to exercise that. Then we’ll put them in the middle of the sanctuary and come around them with rhythms, sounds, motions, creating art, releasing color and atmosphere and partnering with heaven to add our strength to those declarations of truth. All of this will happen within the power of community. To wrap up, we’ll give them a recording of the session and some follow up resources… and believe in the miracle report to come.
We’re taking a huge risk in stirring up hope—for them and for us. We’re risking doing something that—if God doesn’t show up—might not work. At all.And yet isn’t this the walk of faith?(“Faith is spelled R-I-S-K.” – John Wimber) I mean… what if it works?!
As we’re going into the new year again, what are the things that burn on your heart? What are the things that are worthy of putting on your “Harvest Card” for 2018 and risk failing, but make you feel alive just dreaming about them. It’s time to start dreaming big creative dreams again, leaders. I find great comfort and courage knowing we’re in this together, and we’ve got the best Dreamer-Creator ready to back us up every step of the way.
